Certified Medical Officer in Omaha, Nebraska

CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Charles Drew Health Center (CDHC) is a key member of the executive team whose primary role is to inspire and lead the clinical staff of the health center.  The CMO shall be a fully accredited medical doctor licensed to practice medicine in the State of Nebraska.  The goal of the CMO is to ensure timely access to high quality medical care for CDHC patients through clinical systems improvements, recruitment and retention of providers, supervision of Associate Medical Director and Director of Nursing, and oversight of the quality improvement initiatives.  As directed by the CEO, provides reports to the Board of Directors monthly regarding clinical activities and outcomes.  The CMO must have the ability to develop and implement quality assurance, quality improvement activities and assure high quality of patient care that meet Federal, State and Local standards.  The CMO provides clinical expertise and leadership in the design and implementation of new projects and innovative clinical programs that include collaboration with strategic business and community partners.  The incumbent is the ultimate medical policy decision maker for the corporation.
 
We require:
 
A current unrestricted Nebraska medical license, preferably in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or OB services.
Certified by the American Board of Medicine in their respective specialty 
Advance degree in management, such as MBA, MPA,MPH or MHA a plus
Eligible/ maintains hospital privileges at hospitals within the Omaha Metropolitan area
Minimum 5-years? experience in a leadership position
